Once you’ve removed your earrings, it’s time to put some new ones in – the fun part! Just make sure you do it safely. Wait until your piercing is fully healed, and remember that lobe piercings typically need 6 to 8 weeks. Cartilage piercings often need 3 to 6 months or longer.
Use the Cords Club flat back applicator tool, and insert the narrow end through the front of the hole of your piercing, so it sticks through.
Once the applicator tool is in your piercing, put the post of the back of the earring on the narrow end of the applicator– the one poking out the back of your ear. Carefully guide the post through your piercing. The applicator tool acts like a needle, guiding the back of the earring through (it’s way easier than it sounds, we promise).
Then, hold the back of the earring in place in your ear. For push-pin earrings (like ours), take the front part earring and place it into the back, pushing until you hear a “click” and the earring feels snug. For threaded earrings, screw the front piece clockwise until it's snug.
A couple of tips for easier insertion: Use a mirror so you can see what you're doing. Go slow. If you feel resistance, stop and try again another day.
