This is one of our Cords Club exclusive flat back studs, custom designed from scratch by us. We spent months testing and perfecting it before adding it to our site.
This listing is for a single ASTM F136 implant grade titanium push-pin flat back stud.
Measurements: Post measures at 1/4 inch (6mm) length, with a 4mm disc on back. 18 GA (1mm). Approx. size of front piece is. 6x6mm. Refer to listing images to get an idea of the size of the stud on-ear. Check your own ear measurement before ordering.
Materials: ASTM F136 titanium, 18k PVD gold plate (for gold color), synthetic opal
Colors available: 18K PVD Gold Plated Titanium, Titanium
Care: These are tarnish-proof and waterproof. With all items of this material, if you come into contact with chlorine or salt water, cream, lotion, perfumes, etc. Rinse in water and dry if this does happen. When not wearing, store in a dry, cool place.

CARE
Soak your studs in warm water with a few drops of dish soap for about 15 minutes. Gently clean with a soft cloth and store safely.

I'm new to flat backs. What is the most important thing for me to know?
The first thing you'll want to learn is how to keep your Flat Backs nice and secure. Just like you'd tie your running shoes to make sure they stay on your feet for a run, you'll need to adjust your Flat Backs to keep them in place, too!

What size are the flat back earrings?
Cords Club's Flat Backs are 18 gauge and come with a 6mm long Flat Back post.
A 6mm post is a great length for most people, so we'd recommend starting there! We do also have a range of other sizes available and sold separately. If you have questions about sizing, we'd love to help!
Are your flat backs sold individually? Or in pairs?

Do I need to buy the flat back applicator, too?
Our Flat Back Applicator is a great tool but it's not necessary! The Flat Back Applicator is designed to help make the process of changing your flat backs faster and easier, but you can definitely change your earrings without one. The choice is totally up to you!

The piece is a lot smaller than I thought it would be and the two chains twisted within themself and just stays like that until you take it off and un twist them. Would choose another piece.

We totally understand how disappointing it can be when you're excited about a piece and then it ends up being smaller than you were hoping for, especially when you're also having to constantly deal with untangling the chains every time you wear it. That's definitely not the smooth, comfortable experience we want you to have with this piece.
Chain jewelry can sometimes be prone to tangling, but when it's happening consistently and requiring you to remove the piece just to fix it, that's really inconvenient and takes away from being able to just enjoy wearing it.
