One of our most popular designs, now in larger size! A classic prong-set clear gem, this 5mm solitaire is the perfect flat back stud! It's great in a first piercing, but can still work elsewhere, like seconds or a shen men, depending on your anatomy.
This listing is for a single ASTM F136 implant grade titanium push-pin flat back stud. Note that the nature of prong settings can make them catch on hair or fibers
Measurements:
- 18 GA (1mm)
- Post is 1/4 inch (6mm) in length, with a 4mm disc on back.
- Approx. size of front piece is 5mm.
- Refer to listing images to get an idea of the size of the stud on-ear. Check your own ear measurement before ordering
Materials: 18K PVD Gold Plated, ASTM-F136 Titanium, ASTM-F136 Titanium, zirconia
Care: Water and tarnish proof with proper care. If exposed to salt water, chlorine, or lotions/perfumes, rinse off with cool-warm water and gently dry. When not wearing, store in a dry, cool place. Do not pull, twist, or tug on your jewelry.
CARE
Soak your studs in warm water with a few drops of dish soap for about 15 minutes. Gently clean with a soft cloth and store safely.

I'm new to flat backs. What is the most important thing for me to know?

What size are the flat back earrings?
Cords Club's Flat Backs are 18 gauge and come with a 6mm long Flat Back post.
A 6mm post is a great length for most people, so we'd recommend starting there! We do also have a range of other sizes available and sold separately. If you have questions about sizing, we'd love to help!
Are your flat backs sold individually? Or in pairs?

Do I need to buy the flat back applicator, too?
Our Flat Back Applicator is a great tool but it's not necessary! The Flat Back Applicator is designed to help make the process of changing your flat backs faster and easier, but you can definitely change your earrings without one. The choice is totally up to you!

I’m 64 and have had my ears pierced for 50+ years. I bought four of these earrings so I could put them in, not have to change them often and they’d be comfortable. I’ve tried multiple times, to put them in my ears. It’s not possible for me! If I have to read instructions to wear earrings, I don’t want them.
Customer Service has been in touch but I haven’t received return instructions yet. I hope I can send them back with no problem. Time will tell…
I’m not saying DON’T buy them. I’m just saying buyer beware. If you’re older and have problems with your hands, these are probably not for you. They’re just not for me. They are very pretty though! I wish I could keep them.

It is very cute! It is a bit larger than I was expecting, but that is 100% on me. The only thing I don't like is it is a bit heavy, and I need a shorter post on it in order for it to not shift downward, which I haven't needed with other studs of CC.
