Materials: 18k gold PVD-coated stainless steel (for the gold hoops) and stainless steel (silver colored hoops)
Measurement: interior diameter of each hoop is approx. 10mm
Care: These are tarnish-proof and waterproof. With all items of this material, if you come into contact with chlorine or salt water, cream, lotion, perfumes, etc. Rinse in water and dry if this does happen. When not wearing, store in a dry, cool place.
Please be aware that with clicker style hoops such as this, sometimes the post that goes through the ear can get bumped slightly, reducing the secure click to close them. Please verify how these earrings will fit prior to wearing them and make sure to adjust the ear post slightly by pushing up or down on it, as needed until you hear a click (meaning that your earrings will stay shut!)

I just got these earrings in the mail, and they're impossible to actually open. I've had to use pliers to get one of them open, and the other refuses to unclasp. Almost $40 dollars to hurt my hands trying to open earrings is ridiculous.

That level of difficulty with the clasps is absolutely not normal and shouldn't be happening with any of our hoops.
It sounds like the hinges on your earrings are way too tight, which is a quality issue we take seriously. No one should have to struggle or hurt their hands just to put on their jewelry, especially when you've invested nearly $40 in a pair of hoops you were excited to wear.
