What size are the flat back earrings?
Cords Club's Flat Backs are 18 gauge and come with a 6mm long Flat Back post.
A 6mm post is a great length for most people, so we d recommend starting there!
We do also have a range of other sizes available and sold separately. If you have questions about sizing, we'd love to help!
Are your flat backs sold individually? Or in pairs?
Our Flat Backs are sold individually, so make sure to add 2 to your cart if you'd like a pair!
Do I need to buy the flat back applicator, too?
Our Flat Back Applicator is a great tool but it's not necessary! The Flat Back Applicator is designed to help make the process of changing your flat backs faster and easier, but you can definitely change your earrings without one. The choice is totally up to you!

I received these as a gift and they’re really cute and comfortable - but I’ve already lost one as the leaf design easily catches on things and it pulls out of the flat back part. Tightening the tension helped a bit but I’ve still found myself searching for an earring multiple times and now I’m down to one.

Push-pin flat backs work a little differently than regular earrings, and there's a good chance this happened because of a tension issue with the backing that wasn't resolved with the adjustment. I’ll start by saying these are super cute! But, both of my studs fell out within 24 hrs and one was completely lost. Customer Service was incredibly kind and helpful by replacing my studs (in exchange for me covering shipping) and included additional videos of how to make sure they have the right amount of tension. When I received my replacement studs I followed the instructions and tried them out again cautiously. But the style of the monstera catches on everything and within a week I completely lost a stud again. And once I realized I had lost one, I I tried to make my remaining stud more secure and the stem snapped off inside the earring backing. Which was my biggest concern with these tension flat backs. While customer service was very helpful with the first replacement, I just can’t trust that these won’t fall out or break again. Very disappointing as monsteras are my favorite plant and I spent quite a bit on these.

I previously wrote a 2-star review on these studs because the ones I received did not look like as pictured, and the return process was going to charge me to exchange.
HOWEVER I'm writing this update (can't edit my previous review) because customer service was extremely proactive, and came through to make it right. Since I had included a photo of what I received with my original review, CC was able to determine that what I received wasn't up to par/poor quality control that got through. (Seems like there may have been a batch of this from another recent review I saw). I was on vacation and didn't send them an email tho they responded to my review saying I should, but instead they reached out to ME and full on got me set up with a warranty replacement without me having to lift a finger. By the time I got home it had already arrived.
I wanted to highlight this because I'm truly so impressed with the customer service. Lots of companies out there selling earrings, not every company would be so proactive in making something right. And the new studs I received look MUCH better, like the product photos!
