Measurements: Back post is 1/4" (6 mm) length, with a 3mm, slightly convex disc on back. 18 GA. The little ball on this earring is approx. 2 mm in diameter.
Colors: Silver color is ASTMF136 implant grade titanium, gold is the same titanium that is PVD Plated 18K Gold.

The first thing you'll want to learn is how to keep your Flat Backs nice and secure. Just like you'd tie your running shoes to make sure they stay on your feet for a run, you'll need to adjust your Flat Backs to keep them in place, too!

What size are the flat back earrings?
Cords Club's Flat Backs are 18 gauge and come with a 6mm long Flat Back post.
A 6mm post is a great length for most people, so we d recommend starting there!
We do also have a range of other sizes available and sold separately. If you have questions about sizing, we'd love to help!
Are your flat backs sold individually? Or in pairs?
Our Flat Backs are sold individually, so make sure to add 2 to your cart if you'd like a pair!
Do I need to buy the flat back applicator, too?
Our Flat Back Applicator is a great tool but it's not necessary! The Flat Back Applicator is designed to help make the process of changing your flat backs faster and easier, but you can definitely change your earrings without one. The choice is totally up to you!

I put these in and not a minute later the micro dot immediately fell out and down the sink. Put the second side in and it is incredibly loose as well, not sure I can trust this out in the wild if they're falling out and getting lost at home. Was super excited about the flat back but it looks like it only works with the front stud that it comes with, so not sure I will get to wear these.

We totally understand how frustrating it must be to put in the earring and have it immediately fall out — that's definitely not the secure fit you should expect from flat back jewelry. And then to have the same loose fitting issue with the second one? That's such a bummer, especially when you were excited to try flat backs and now you're left feeling like you can't trust them to stay put.
Push-pin flat backs work a little differently than regular earrings, and there's a good chance this happened because of a tension issue with the backing that wasn't resolved with the adjustment. Please reach out to us at hello@cordsclub.com so we can sort this out.
