Measurements:
- Post measures at 1/4 inch (6mm) length
- 18 GA (1mm).
- Front design/pin is approx. 4.5 x 5.4mm. Refer to listing images to get an idea of the size of the stud on-ear. Check your own ear measurement before ordering.
Materials: ASTM F136 implant grade titanium, cubic zirconia, and 18k Gold PVD plating (for the gold color option)
CARE
Soak your studs in a bowl filled with warm water and a few drops of dish soap for about 15 minutes.
Gently scrub your jewelry with a q tip or soft cloth to remove any buildup or debris.

What size are the flat back earrings?
Cords Club's Flat Backs are 18 gauge and come with a 6mm long Flat Back post.
A 6mm post is a great length for most people, so we d recommend starting there!
We do also have a range of other sizes available and sold separately. If you have questions about sizing, we'd love to help!
Are your flat backs sold individually? Or in pairs?
Our Flat Backs are sold individually, so make sure to add 2 to your cart if you'd like a pair!
Do I need to buy the flat back applicator, too?
Our Flat Back Applicator is a great tool but it's not necessary! The Flat Back Applicator is designed to help make the process of changing your flat backs faster and easier, but you can definitely change your earrings without one. The choice is totally up to you!

Earrings are ridiculously difficult to secure and then remove. One earring broke the very day I recieved it, with the post breaking clean off as I tried to secure it.

I just recieved my order today and had put the earrings in, with great difficulty. These flatbacks are far more difficult to secure than other flatbacks I've worn previously that screw into place. The bending to secure the earring seems to leave the post excessively weak and prone to snapping off. I managed to put the earrings in, and had decided to swap some of them, where in the process of trying to secure the earring the post broke clean off.

Having the post break clean off on the first day is absolutely not the quality we stand behind, and we completely understand your frustration โ especially after dealing with the difficulty of securing the flatback and then having it break when trying to adjust it.
It sounds like you received a defective piece, and the issues you experienced with the securing mechanism definitely aren't normal. Our flatbacks should be secure without being overly difficult to use, and they certainly shouldn't be breaking during normal handling.
